The Flying Eagles of Nigeria will kick off their preparations for the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations on Monday by opening a training camp in Abuja.
It will be the first time the team has been together since they took first place at the WAFU B Championship in Niger Republic back in May.
The majority of the players that took part in that competition are likely to remain on the team under the direction of head coach Ladan Bosso.
It is anticipated that the camp would disband in order to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s.
Egypt will play host to the U-20 African Cup of Nations from the 18th of February to the 12th of March, 2023.
The continent will be represented in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Indonesia in 2023, by the top four teams in this competition.
At the 2019 Under-20 World Cup, which was held in Poland, the Flying Eagles competed for the final time, and they advanced to the round of 16.
